The Alienist Season 1

Today i just finished The Alienist Season 1, it was an enjoyable show and it raises a few important questions,it is sed in the 1890's when psychologists were called Alienists as the mentally ill were considered to have strayed away from there original nature and the experts who study them are called the Alienists.The show has done justice to the era that it was set in.The distinguishable accents of the different ethnicities of   New Yorkess,the corruption within the police and the differnece between the leisured class and the working class made noticable by their dresses ,The Italian immigrants,the treatment of women,the race relation,and needless to mention the technology.The questions raised are timeless however,What makes us want to do evil and how do we resist from it . The show is about the police looking after a fugitive serial murderer who has killed several boy prostitutes who dress up as girl.The show also touches themes of homosexuality, masochism and sadism.And yes Mr.John Scheylur Moore women do get a right to vote in the 20 th century.
